Is Simba environmentally friendly?
We are very proud to be the UK's first B Corp™ sleep brand. Only businesses that promote social and environmental change in how they work are accredited as B Corp™ More information can be found on the Sustainability section of our site.
We make every effort to ensure that the manufacturing process for Simba is as environmentally friendly as possible. Using only British wool and ensuring 100% of any waste foam and springs from the manufacturing process is sold on for use in other products, such as flooring underlay and dog beds.
Our mattresses are also rolled and delivered in a box to reduce the carbon footprint effect during delivery. We send zero waste to landfill from mattresses that are returned to us, these are all broken down and recycled.
The recycling of old mattress is so important to us. As much as 76% of old mattresses that are discarded each year end up in landfill. Due to this worrying figure, we now offer a mattress recycling service. This option can be added as a delivery service when ordering a mattress. We also offer this as a stand-alone, not for profit, service even when not ordering a product from us.
Our Simba mattress are not tested on animals and any wool used complies with the Animal Welfare Policy and is ethically and sustainably sourced.
We also have sustainability in mind with our Hybrid Duvet and Pillow and use no animal products as well as BCI cotton.
Our most recent mattress addition, the Simba Hybrid GO (Green Organic) is our most sustainable and organic mattress yet! End of life was key when designing the Hybrid GO and is 100% recyclable.
